LaShawn Cameron, a single, hardworking girl,
was very dedicated to making her way in the Oceanography biz.
It was her dream to become Hand Of Poseidon.
LaShawn loved living in Pleasantview and was proud of her life there.

But none of it came easy, it took a lot of sweat and tears to get there.
But there was one thing LaShawn really wanted and didn't have
and that was a child, she wanted children more than anything.
But being a single parent was a huge responsibility
and she didn't want to rush into it.
She took her time and studied all her options weighing out
all the pro's and con's and even asked her friends for some input.

But it was her BFF, Brandi Broke, that gave her the perfect plan
when she asked her if she'd considered adopting a child.

Jess' first night with her new family was perfect!
There was good food, lots of laughter and great big hugs.
Jess adjusted to her new life with her new family without any problems.
Her Aunt Brandi had a tendency to spoil her a little but LaShawn overlooked it.
Having Brandi in her daughter's life was a very special thing.

Things had been pretty tough for Brandi,
especially after her husband Skip died in a mysterious pool accident
leaving her to raise their two young sons all by herself.
A little over a year after Skip's death, Brandi decided it was time to
get out there and make her way in the world and she took
on an entry-level job in Law Enforcement as a Security Gaurd.
The pay was meager to start with but Brandi remained committed to her plan.
She put aside every Simoleon she could spare,
saving up for a down payment on a house.
She couldn't wait to move out of their trashy, run-down trailer
and get her two young son's out of the poor part of town
where trouble lurked around every corner.
Eventually Brandi had enough for her down payment
and after some serious house hunting she put her Simoleons
down on a pretty 5 bedroom, 2 bath house with a BIG fenced in yard
that was set in a safe, pretty, quiet area of Pleasantview.
It was the happiest day of her life and also her son's lives too!!!

Brandi now works as a Detective making a decent wage.
But even though she ended up making more money with each promotion,
she had trouble making ends meet and decided the only way
they were going to make it was to take in room mates.
And that's how she reconnected with LaShawn.
They'd been friends since they were kids and Brandi was thrilled
when her old friend called her up and asked about the room to rent.
Everyone in the house gets along really well
and Jess fit in perfectly from the moment she arrived!
Jess LOVES her Aunt Brandi and gets along great with her boys.
Jess and Beau are super close pals
and you rarely see one without the other.
Another thing Jess really loves are their pets!
Dustin's parrot is named Loki.
He can talk in 3 different languages and even tells knock-knock jokes,
Beau's wormrat, Dottie, is a grumpy girl!
Jess has to make sure not to squeeze too tight when she plays with her.
Dottie's rather chubby and also getting old,
so squishing her is NOT a good idea at all!
If you do, Dottie will deliver a LOUD, high-pitched squeal
along with a painful nip with her VERY sharp teeth!
There's another room mate in the house too -
one that was there long before LaShawn and he's a
rather well known Sim in Pleasantview.
Yep, it's Goopy.
Everyone in the house knew Goopy and LeShawn
had a thing for one another because they both lit up like
Christmas trees whenever they were together.
But they were both on the shy side too
and afraid to ask the other one out on a date.
Then it happened-
Goopy and LeShawn found themselves together and all alone
in the hot tub under a full moon and velvet sky filled with stars,.
Guess you could say nature took it's course
and LeShawn and Goopy
feel hopelessly and madly in love.
After their First Kiss Goopy got right down to it
and proposed to LeShawn and she said YES!
Here's the little dividend LeShawn and Goopy
received after their Honeymoon.
Her name is Gabriella
and Jess was THRILLED to get a little sister.
Jess calls her Gabbie.
She doesn't look all that happy about getting perfect grades,..
But Jess is a lot happier about it than she looks.
As a matter of fact, everyone in the house is super proud
of Jess for getting such great grades.
Didn't take long for some birthdays to roll around!

Life couldn't be better for Jess.
She had a great childhood, loves her family and can't
wait for all the perks that come with being a teenager!
